Fair and equal treatment of employees was again identified as the most important aspect at work in the Nordic Business Ethics Survey 2020. There is research indicating that diverse teams perform better and that less diverse environments are more prone to corruption. We all have a role to play when it comes to securing diversity and inclusion at our workplaces! An inclusive workplace celebrates the value from different perspectives, backgrounds, and profiles.
”How do we ensure that everyone, regardless of sex, race, color, language, religion, political or other opinions, national or social origin, association with a national minority, property, birth, or other status belongs at our workplaces? How do we create a climate where this fundamental human right is a reality? Where everyone feels they are treated equally and with respect? In practice this is easier said than done, we have to be honest with that we all are biased, we have our preferences and views and may label those that are and think different as ”idiots”. ”
