Nadim Ghazale

In 2022, Nadim Ghazale released his first book, ‘My Journey from Refugee to Sweden’s Police,’ together with journalist Sara Nygren. He delivered a highly acclaimed talk in “Sommar i P1” 2021 and has previously been seen, among other places, on the panel of the SVT program “Veckans brott” (Crime of the Week). Nadim’s lectures are rooted in his own story, where, as a seven-year-old, he fled with his family from the war in Lebanon.

Drawing from his experiences, Nadim constructs a narrative where human interaction is always at the forefront. He talks about racism, exclusion, and insecurity, but also about the encounters, situations, and people that have served as turning points and guided his life in new directions. In his role as a police officer, he has been a hybrid of many different parts of society. His aspiration to be a human role model adds an extra dimension as he is not afraid to reflect on his own shortcomings.
