Leadership and teamwork are two main themes of his lectures. How do you assemble groups that are meant to perform at their best? How do you get a group to work together despite different knowledge and personalities? What is required of everyone to succeed?

Gurra Krantz has a unique experience in leadership under extreme conditions. He is a storyteller and weaves his experiences, stories, and knowledge together in an incredibly inspiring way.

Questions like motivation, camaraderie, goals, preparation, precision, leadership, and group dynamics are topics Gurra addresses. Because no matter what results are to be achieved, clearly defined and distinct goals are extremely important.

Sailing Achievements

He is a boat builder, sailmaker, and author and has been running Gåshaga Marina on Lidingö since 2020. With a solid experience in leadership and group dynamics, Gurra is considered one of Sweden’s most successful and experienced sailors. He has participated in four Whitbread Round The World Race/Volvo Ocean Race events and two America’s Cup projects. He has also accompanied celebrities in the TV series “Over the Atlantic” for two seasons, demonstrating his extensive knowledge and patience.

In the Volvo Ocean Race 2001, he was the skipper of Team SEB. A round-the-world sailing race is an extreme situation where many of the participants are strong individualists with different nationalities and cultural differences. Furthermore, this must be done in a minimal space and under basic conditions.
