Linda Leopold
Linda Leopold combines big-picture thinking on AI with real industry experience. Named one of nine “inspirational women leaders in AI shaping the 21st century” by Forbes, she spent seven years in AI leadership roles at the global fashion retailer H&M Group.
Linda Leopold, an author and former journalist, is driven by a deep curiosity for what it means to be human in the age of AI.
A decade ago, Linda Leopold had just finished writing a book about human intelligence when she became fascinated with deep learning, the branch of artificial intelligence inspired by the human brain (that would come to power today’s generative AI revolution). The questions it raised were too interesting to ignore: What could AI teach us about ourselves? How might it change the way we think and work? “If AI can do this now,” she remembers thinking, “what will it be able to do in ten years, or more?” She decided to leave her thriving media career, and go all in.
What followed wasn’t just theoretical exploration. At H&M Group, she held senior leadership roles in AI policy and strategy, building the company’s Responsible AI program from the ground up and leading initiatives in digital ethics and generative AI. She learned what it takes to implement AI at scale, navigating complexity, building trust, and turning strategy into action. Her conviction, strengthened through years of hands-on experience, is that responsible innovation and business success aren’t just compatible – they’re inseparable.
Today, as a strategic advisor and keynote speaker, Linda Leopold helps organizations navigate the frontier where human potential meets artificial intelligence. In her talks, she reveals emerging patterns of how AI is reshaping the world and offers grounded guidance for leaders building AI strategies.
