Ola Rosling
Ola Rosling is the co-founder and president of the “Gapminder Foundation,” which he founded together with his wife, Anna Rosling Rönnlund, and his father, Hans Rosling. As a lecturer, Ola Rosling presents statistics and facts in a way that makes the information easier to understand and remember. His passion and expertise shine through, making the content stick.
From 1999, Ola led the development of the software Trendalyzer, which was acquired by Google in 2007. He continued to work at Google, focusing on democratizing access to public statistics and developing the digital infrastructure to integrate important official statistics into Google’s search results. In 2011, Anna and Ola returned to Gapminder to continue creating educational materials that promote a fact-based worldview.
Ola Rosling as a lecturer and author
In 2014, Ola coined the term “Factfulness,” which later became the title of the book he co-authored with Anna Rosling Rönnlund and Hans Rosling. The book was published in April 2018 and has been translated into 36 languages. The concept of “Factfulness” aims to highlight and promote fact-based learning, which is the very foundation of all of Ola’s work.
As a lecturer, Ola presents facts and statistics in a way that both engages and stays with the audience. He shows the world from a perspective we are not used to seeing.
